Hoop is composed by three elements: the paper filter, the outer water loop, in which is poured the brew water, and the cylindrical filter tower, which accommodates the ground coffee.
The water isn’t poured directly onto the coffee grounds, rather goes in the water loop before touching the coffee. Thanks to the holes at the bottom of the coffee housing tower, water is forced to travel horizontally in a even manner through the coffee bed, in a smooth and even action that prevents bypass or channelling effects from happening.
