Launched in March, 2022, the new Foopak Bio Natura Cup, NOW COMMERCIALLY for sale across North America and Mexico, It is available in sizes of 12, 16 and 20 oz and are 100% certified plastic free, curb-side recyclable and compostable. Ideally suited for both hot and cold beverages, microwavable and frozen liquids, Foopak Bio Natura is a proprietary water-based nano-coating; a sustainable and environmentally responsible alternative to polyethylene-based moisture barriers. The innovative coating eliminates the need for the lengthy, expensive stripping process, as the product can be fully composted and is curb-side recyclable. Coffee retailers can now provide their customers with a sustainable option that meets new government legislation.
The new Foopak Bio Natura FINISHED CUPS are FDA-compliant for food contact, Certified Flustix Plastic-Free, Certified PFAS Free and Certified Fully Recyclable. Independent third party laboratory testing confirms that the product can completely break down and return to nature by decomposing in a matter of 12 weeks within an industrial composting facility, and in 17-24 weeks, it can be safely composted in a home compost.
