From a caramel lover’s frustration to a thriving family business, Caramel Kitchen began in 2015 when Stephanie, tired of subpar sauces, perfected an all-natural caramel recipe after countless tries. What started with six bottles on her kitchen stove and gifted at Christmas, sparked a passion project with her husband Brad. They grew from a copper kettle in a golf cart garage (20 bottles per batch) to a commercial kitchen at Silver Lake Mall in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, hitting 600 bottles daily while partnering with Union Gospel Mission to support women in recovery.
A 2021 co-packer scaled them up, but a 2023 crisis—25,000 burnt units—nearly ended them until Wolf Pack in Gold Bar, Washington, stepped in. By February 2024, they transformed a muffler shop in Post Falls, Idaho, into a state-of-the-art facility where Stephanie, Brad, their three kids, and extended family now craft up to 10,000 gallons monthly—small-batch, blending artisanal roots with GMP, HACCP, and Kosher certifications.
Their award-winning Caramel Sauce (cane sugar, butter, cream, salt, vanilla) skips seed oils and junk, earning a seed oil-safe badge for pure, velvety coffee bliss.
