HARIO EUROPE B.V. | V60 Dripper NEO
At the heart of the NEO Dripper is a complete redesign of the rib structure of the iconic V60, originally introduced in 2005, enabling smoother and more controlled water flow.
Today’s coffee landscape is shaped by complex flavour profiles, experimental processing methods, and lighter, more delicate roast levels. These coffees call for greater control, consistency, and clarity in extraction. That is why we developed the NEO Dripper. By improving flow-through, the NEO makes it easier to bring out the coffee’s true flavours and mouthfeel, from its natural sweetness and bright acidity to its overall balance. It supports more consistent results for everyday users while giving professionals greater control and flexibility in their recipes. The development of the NEO was inspired in part by the HARIO SUIREN Dripper, which demonstrated how the contact between ribs and filter paper can directly influence drawdown speed. Building on this insight, we pushed the concept further through extensive prototyping and arrived at a precise new geometry: 72 finely crafted spiral ribs that seamlessly converge into 9 at the base. This structure maximises drainage while supporting even water distribution across the coffee bed, helping to reduce clogging and the risk of uneven extraction. To enhance thermal performance, we also reconsidered the dripper’s overall form. By removing the handle and designing the body with extremely thin walls, the NEO minimises heat loss and reduces the material’s tendency to act as a heat sink. Crafted from Tritan™, a highly durable resin that enables ultra-thin yet strong construction, the NEO offers thermal stability, lightweight handling, and resilience for daily use. The result is a redesigned dripper that preserves the clarity of the V60 while improving control, consistency, and flavour expression for today’s coffee professionals and enthusiasts.
