It was used by various ancient Greek philosophers, like Plato and Aristotle, as a primary designation for philosophical concepts of essence or substance.
The Story
At the very beginning of this journey, we promised ourselves to keep this grinder simple, precise, beautiful, and long-lasting. We have designed it like a piece of art, built it like a rugged tool, and stripped it to the essence:
everything you need, nothing you don’t. Just one model to rule them all: steel and oak.
We always felt that when it comes to manual coffee grinders there is no need for multiple or lesser models, so you know when you make this long-time investment, that you don’t need to outguess yourself, as nothing important will change. Small details like the oak grain pattern, finish, or color hue may vary, but this only makes them unique, without altering the elegant aesthetics. Premium, full metal, stainless steel construction and 47mm conical, high-grade steel alloy burrs, with the sole exception of the handle knob, turned from a beautiful and timeless Transylvanian oak, without plastic, glass, or ceramic parts. Each grinder is produced in small lots, assembled and aligned individually, for a seamless performance. The 5-year warranty for parts and workmanship represents our statement in regards to the high quality of this coffee grinder.
