A Planter’s Daughter | HAND-WOVEN COTTON POUR-OVER COFFEE FILTERS: “THE HANDLOOM POUR”
A Planter’s Daughter’s sustainable pour-over coffee filters are crafted from undyed and unbleached hand-woven cotton yarn. The use of cloth filters ensures a clean cup of coffee, free from sediments. The aromatics and natural oils of the coffee are well-preserved to guarantee a flavourful cup.
Hand-woven, eco-friendly cloth filters, celebrating artisanal craftsmanship like ours, offer the sustainable advantage of being washed and re-used multiple times for at least 100 pours before being re-purposed. APD cloth filters provide a superior alternative to paper filters that demonstrate less aromatics and natural oils in the final cup. Paper filters are also not reusable, resulting in high waste.
The aromas, body, acidity, and the way the flavours blend - all of these factors can be impacted by your coffee filter type. Our beautiful handloom Pour-over filters guarantee a flavourful cup with every pour. A Planter’s Daughter is committed to working with rural women’s co-operatives in the South Indian state of Karnataka, which ensures that we work with handloom weavers within the villages in the craft clusters of the state, to revive the dying art of handloom weaving.
APD is therefore able to provide ecologically sustainable livelihood opportunities for the rural women, even as the stellar coffee filters handwoven by them guarantee a superlative cup of coffee.
